Labelink, a label and packaging manufacturer with nine plants in Canada and the US, has announced the acquisition of l’Empreinte, one of the largest privately-owned printing companies in the province of Quebec, Canada.

Founded in 1986 and based in Laval, l’Empreinte employs 110 people and has earned a reputation for the quality of its print and packaging products. This acquisition, the 15th in 21 years, is part of Labelink’s strategy to build a network of specialized printing and packaging centers.

L’Empreinte’s expertise in publishing, marketing, direct mail, folding cartons, and cut-sheet labels complements Labelink’s strengths in pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging. Together, the two companies will deliver a broader, fully integrated portfolio of high-value solutions, creating new opportunities for sustainable growth and elevating the customer experience across all markets.

“L’Empreinte has long stood out for its creativity and the quality of its work. Its values of innovation,
rigour, and attention to detail align perfectly with ours. We are proud to welcome this talented team and
the exceptional know-how they bring. Building on this strength, we are committed to investing the time
and resources needed to realize the full potential of this union and deliver even greater value to our
customers,” says Stéphen Bouchard, president of Labelink.

Luc Janson, shareholder and co-founder of l’Empreinte, comments, “By remaining under Quebec ownership, l’Empreinte helps preserve local expertise and fosters industry growth for the benefit of customers, employees, and the community. By combining our respective knowhow and specialties, we strengthen our packaging printing capabilities while continuing the pursuit of excellence that has always defined us. Together, we are opening a new chapter, inspired by pride, innovation, and commitment.”

L’Empreinte maintains its portfolio of clients and continues to operate under the name l’Empreinte. JeanPierre Rose remains at the helm to ensure operational continuity.
